They are an all family group except Guy Hoilman, who sings bass for them. I found out that they were a group that not only had talent, but a group that were acquainted with the Lord Jesus Christ and sung with the spirit. They have always had an open invitation to come to Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church where I pastor. So it was with great pleasure that we learned that The Singing Dugger Family had selected our church to have a service and make an album. It was one of the most wonder- ful services we have ever had at Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church and one of the largest crowds. I am the host of the “Old Fashion Gospel Hour” on WIDD-FM, Chris- tian Witness Radio in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Praise the Lord ... I am also a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, let me say a few words about The Singing Duggers. They have blessed my heart ever since I have known them. As a matter of fact, I was with them the very night that this album was recorded. It was at Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee. The pastor, Brother Gilbert Abel, did a lot of shoutin’ that night with me and a few hundred others in the Spirit of the Lord. Yes, Jesus was in our midst that night. It was on Friday night, March 24, 1978—a wonderful night that I will never forget. As you listen to this album, I know that you will feel just as I felt that night at Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church. The Singing Duggers are truly born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
