For auction here is one of the cornerstone albums of 1970s dub reggae
Keith Hudson (& Family Man): Pick A Dub (Rockers Universite RUA 1001) UK 1975.
This is magnificent copy. This album in any shape is rare enough to find these days but in this condition, almost impossible to come by. These albums were rightly meant to be played, usually at parties, and so, nearly half a century on, most copies for sale are, as they say "well loved". The one for offer here seems to have somehow escaped ever being a turntable.
Pressed in strong blue vinyl, the glossy surfaces of both sides shine brightly - free from scuffs, scratches or damage of any sort.
The cover has NO rips, marks or writing of any sort and, given that it is largely white and usually extremely vulnerable, only shows the passing years toward the spine where it has begun to discolour slightly. The card from which it is fashioned was very light and so it's all the more remarkable that this delicate sleeve has escaped the literal 'wear and tear' of the decades.
The labels are crisp, clear and bold looking just as they must have when they left the packing plant in the mid-70s. No initials, no pen marks, no stickers.
Unless stored in a vacuum it would be hard to discover a better example of this rightly revered, much re-issued Jamaican classic. Here is a rare chance to own an original 1975 copy.
