Description
Richard Wagner: Der Ring des Nibelungen- Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung
Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
With Vickers, Talvela, Janowitz, Ludwig, Stewart, Brilioth and many more.
German Ed1 DGG stereo pressings from the late 60s. Four separate boxes with 19LPs altogether.
Walküre (5LPs) & Rheingold (3LPs) have big tulip „Made in Germany“- labels,
Siegfried (5LPs) & Götterdämmerung (6LPs) have first small tulip labels.
All are presumed to be first or early pressings, only the Walküre box has a Grand Prix-sticker.
The Walküre box also contains a very rare 34-page introductory book with an additional 7-inch.
This was published on occasion of Karajan's visit to New York in 1967/68 and only made available in very small numbers.

Condition Boxes: EX to NM. Very light general wear, beautifully preserved.

Condition Vinyls: NM. Could as well be called mint. A perfect set!

Stunning 1st edition set! To upgrade on this you would have to find a sealed set!

- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

A note about my record-grading:
I usually only visually grade the LPs under strong light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
