King Crimson -In the Court of the Crimson King vinyl 1969. A beautifully preserved first pressing with the original sleeve included. Was purchased around when it was released in 1969.
The original, un-laminated cover is in excellent condition with very minimal edge/corner wear (please see pics). The inside cover is also in excellent condition. The spine is fully legible with no damage, tears, splits or other unwanted markings.
The overall sound quality of this album is quite impressive, and the recording is clear, wide-ranging with great delivery and stereo imaging. This is quite a feat considering the recording equipment available at the time. This is a rare copy of a superb, dynamic album that was way ahead of its time and still sounds as good now as then.
In the Court of the Crimson King (subtitled An Observation by King Crimson) is the debut studio album by English rock band King Crimson, released on 10 October 1969 by Island Records. The album is one of the earliest and most influential of the progressive rock genre, where the band combined the musical influences that rock music was founded upon with elements of jazz, classical, and symphonic music.
The album reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and number 28 on the US Billboard 200, where it was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
