Description

LED ZEPPELIN II RL Robert Ludwig 1st U.S. 1969 HOT MIX Atlantic Records SD 8236 with 1841 Broadway on the labels indicating a true first pressing.
Specialty Pressing Plant as indicated by the SP on the labels. Atlantic used Specialty, Presswell, Terre Haute, and Monarch for the 1st runs of Led Zeppelin II.
Infamous Robert Ludwig HOT MIX featuring "RL" and etched in the dead wax on BOTH sides of the vinyl. This mix is known for it's thunderous bass and full soundstage that was severely diminished once the second pressings were made. Extremely hard to find this edition in good condition. I have had several over the years and ever one has been played to death. The good news is, because of the loud mix and the nature of the recording, even chewed up copies sound great once the music is going.
VINYL in VG condition. PLAY GRADED. There are a few areas where it veers to VG- overall solid VG. There are several marks on vinyl that are lighter surface scuffs and light un-feel able scratches that produce background crackle noticeable especially in between tracks and it quieter segments. When this thing is rocking though, the sound is brilliant and full, closer to VG+.  The crackle is more prevalent during "Moby Dick" and "Thank You", especially the end where the organ is solo then fades out then back in. There are few quiet segments on this album fortunately, so any background crackle is not much of an issue. Overall very good audio quality!
COVER in G+ with the top seams fully split (the outer seams does not hold the record), the bottom seam that holds the LP is intact but dies have rubbing and chipping.  There is a 1 1/2" split in the middle of the inner gatefold (see photo details) and writing in marker on back cover (see details).
