COUNT BASIE'S KANSAS CITY SEVEN give out in 1939 with two hot riff originals, which have echoed ever since down the hallowed halls of Swingdom:
"LESTER LEAPS IN" and "DICKIE'S DREAM"
"Lester" of course, is a showcase for tenor sax titan LESTER YOUNG. "Dickie's" is ditto for trombone giant DICKIE WELLS. This side features more Lester, and of course, the patented Basie Rhythm Section.
This original 1939 Australian Columbia DO-2339 is in gleaming EE+ condition. Lovely laminated master pressing on both sides! Sounds fantastic!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care.
