This record was part of my grand father's collection. He was a critic for the french journal Le Monde and also a grand amateur pianist who was part of the jury of the Concours des Grands Amateurs de Piano in the 1990s (this competition still exists).
He used to receive such records from various companies and typicaly heard them once or twice except his favorites.
He also was a close friend of André Charlin and had the very first Charlin Hi-fi, serial #1, which is still there and working.
Record condition:
This record will require machine cleaning for best possible sound because it produces constant (but moderate) surface noise with very light tics from dust.
I played it completely and noticed the following troubles:
- The first track of side 1 has a skip with noticeable surface noise before skipping to the next groove. Then there is another skip but then it plays all the way through
- The last track or side 1 has a noticeable tick on 5 revolutions.
Other than that, this great rarity is very enjoyable and very collectible.
Honest VG+ grading.
Sleeve condition:
The sleeve is in excellent condition but has light edge wear on the top and bottom. Nothing serious. Comes with original plastic inner sleeve. There is no writing, no rim split, no tears. I grade it EX-.
