Description

An original 2nd press Red & Plum copy of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label from late 1970. Matrix A5/B4. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is an original plastic bag warning inner sleeve dated to '0870' - Summer 1970. So, 100% genuine an 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Just check out those label shots - Boy do they look good! Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Yes, it really is that good. I would put this copy into the best top-three I've auditioned - because it is "borderline faultless". Playback is of the very highest standard obtainable. You can hear all the vocal echoes and even the slow-fades and build-backs are very clean and quiet. FINAL UPGRADE- unsurpassable.
Cover (Ex) Zep II covers are famously difficult to find in decent condition. This example has survived in quite remarkable condition. The front is almost totally free of ageing or marking. A touch of very light handling wear noticeable on the rear - but in reality way way better than most examples that surface. The interior is in perfect condition. Edge wear is very light and even the openings are still sharp! The spine is almost perfect - very very close. Overall the cover retains prefect rigidity and lies totally flat. A fantastic example and one that would be nigh on impossible to better.
Inner (Vg+) One two inch side split, a bit of ageing. No other issues.
