Description

An original 2nd issue of Zep II on the UK red & plum Atantic label. Matrix A5/B4. A 2nd issue from 1970 one would imagine - not too long after the 1st issue chart phase judging by the ligh brown coloured cover. Also included is an original plastic bag warning inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I could make out a few light marks per side, but nothing serious or heavy looking that would feature audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback on side 1 and then, lower, at VERYGOOD+ on side. Side 1 plays really sweet, by and large, with a touch of lightest static in the quietest parts of 'Thank You' - as is almost impossible to eliminate entirely. Side 2 has perhaps seen a bit more use. Expect a bit of light static here and there in most tracks on side 2. You'll notice it in the quieter parts of 'Bring It On Home' and 'Moby Dick'. So, do not expect a silent background. Will be quite ok for most folk prepared to compromise, but for those needing silent background you may have to pass on this one.
Cover (Ex-) A really sweet looking original cover, and that's no mean feat on Zep II. A very nice clean front with very little ageing or handling wear, which is quite unusual. The rear looks nice with only lightest handling. The interior is absolutely fine - no issues at all. There's a bit of edge wear, but nothing all that noticeable. The spine is excellent for an original Zep II. The text on the spine is all still legible..quite unusual that. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity. You'd be hard pushed to find a better example.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits though.
