Description


 An original Red & Plum of ZEPII on UK Atlantic from Xmas 1970. Matrix A5/B4. Probably 12 months or so after 1st release and they have, by now, got round to re-naming KILLING FLOOR correctly. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. If you need to witness ZEP at the height of their powers...for audio...this will definitely hit the mark. There's also an original plastic bag warning inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Very well preserved and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of slightest deviations. Really quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Quite frankly - amazing. One of the best and cleanest renditions I've ever witnessed. If you can get WLL with a perfectly clean background...I can assure you you are dealing with an unusual copy! Witness all the vocal echoes right down into the mix. This is what gets lost even on fairly decent copies. Anyone who hasn't heard Zep II on R&P will get a shock...the power and weight behind the guitar and drums is epic on a R&P- you can feel it!  One isolated tick in WLL and another in HrtBrker. WIAWSNB pretty much perfect...it is a revelation! You really really need to hear this one... Percussive tapping intro to RAMBLE...A-Mazing...as is intricate drum-rolls in MOBY....Superb..A couple of crackles in one isolated spot per side [e.g. final stages of KF]. Otherwise perfect! Even into the super fussy lowkey intros to Thankyou&BringItOnHome! Just superb..FINAL UPGRADE. Don't miss out...
Cover (Ex-) In great condition with only slight handling and hardly any ageing. The interior looks superb. Very minor wear to the edges. Sharp openings. Spine is really fine, with text all legible and only minor wear. Nice square shape without compression. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.  Nicce!
Inner (Vg+) A little aged. No splits.
