Description
This album is a rare MONO first pressing on the Orange Elektra label, made in England in 1967, EKL 4013. The matrix numbers are A1/B1.
This 42 year old album was made on heavy vinyl and the disc is in great condition with no scratching and a minimal amount of handling marks. The labels are in brilliant condition with no sticker marks or writing. There are only one or two spindle marks but there is no hole wear at all. This album has only been played a few times. The inner sleeve is an Elektra original and is in great condition with the word Love written on the top left hand corner.
The outer laminated sleeve is almost as new. Both sides are still high gloss with no creasing at all, no edge wear and the colours are still bright (please see all photographs as proof). Neither the front or the rear show any record impression marking. The sleeve was manufactured in Great Britain by Polydor Records Limited, London. The condition of this sleeve is remarkable for its age, it even surprises me, and I'm its owner!
This classic record, which features in the top tweny rock records of all time, has been in my private collection since I bought it way back in 1967. It has been stored upright in custom built shelving away from heat, light, damp and dust. To my knowledge, it has not been played in the last 40 years. The condition of the disc is testimony to that.
This is an iconic album by a brilliant band who were such a role model for groups who followed in their footsteps. I cannot recommend this album highly enough, it is definitely a collectors item and one not to be missed, especially in this terrific condition.
