Untamed youthRare Original OZ Promo EP released in 1957 on HMV Records. Cat: 7EGO80000. These songs were recorded at Capitol studios (Hollywood, CA.) in December, 1956 and are different versions from those used for the film soundtrack, which were re-arranged by Les Baxter. Cochran is present on guitar!! Firt promo copy of this I’ve seen. Cochran and Rockabilly holy grail!!
Untamed Youth is a 1957 American drama film starring Mamie Van Doren & Eddie Cochran and released by Warner Bros. The film has been featured on an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Yes, it's Eddie Cochran walkin', talkin' and singin' on film! A youth prison farm where the inmates jitterbug to the 1950s rock n roll beat! Two cute kittens get tossed in the slammer for skinny dipping. It turns out that the prison farm is a front for a cotton-picking operation. When a girl is overworked, has a miscarriage, and dies, the teenage inmates revolt!

There are a few tiny tears around A-side centre hole. There are a few light spindle marks on both labels. Record has some light scuff marks that produce a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a small surface tear on front right edge, very light ring wear and a few light pencil marks on back top right. All seams are fully intact. Amazing condition for a cover close to 60 years old!! Cover is in VG++ condition.
