Description

Up for sale is my copy of 'Round About Midnight by the Miles Davis Quintet. This is an original pressing from 1957. It marks Miles Davis' Columbia debut.  The all-star line-up on this one includes John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and "Philly Joe" Jones. But if you're a big jazz fan then you already knew that! In his five-star review in the May 16, 1957 issue of DownBeat magazine, Ralph J. Gleason called the album "modern jazz conceived and executed in the very best style."
The photos you see are of the record you will receive. The record itself is in really nice shape with just a few superficial marks. The Labels are clean 6-eye Columbia reds. The cover is a bit worse for wear: there is tape (I didn't put it there) along the entire left-hand side of the cover. There is also a sticker on the front and splitting along the top and bottom. I have included photos of each of these so you know exactly what you are bidding on. If you have any questions or would like more photos, reach out. I use goldmine record grading standards and do my best to grade conservatively.
