Description
HERE is a rare original UK stereo pressing of Nick Drake's 1969 debut LP, Five Leaves Left, on second press pink rim island.
This is a true second pressing with machine-stamped A-3U/B-3U matrices and 1H/1H mother stampers, together with Robor gatefold sleeve and custom sky blue inner bag.
The strong unlaminated gatefold sleeve is in solid VG+ condition with lovely razor sharp edges and all spinal text visible, some light foxing and hardly any other age-related wear but with a fine line on the bottom of the front and a light squiggle (or initials) on the rear, top left (see photos). These light marks do very little to detract from what is in all other respects quite a remarkably well preserved Robor gatefold.
The attractive pink rim island labels are in EX condition with no unwanted writing, no sticker residue and no tears, while close examination under light reveals only the very scantiest evidence of spindle marks, denoting very little play.
Both sides of the vinyl look EX in natural light with just a few very light hairline marks showing when examined under strong halogen light. There are no deep or feelable scratches, and the disc plays fantastically from beginning to end, both sides, with no skips or jumps.
The disc is housed in its original sky blue poly-lined company inner bag.
