This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl:

VG. The vinyl remains shiny. The vinyl has quite a few visible, but light marks to her, but after playing her through, I found just OCCASIONAL and very light background noise...Mainly evident on the run-ins, with wonderful deep & rich sound reproduction.
Even the quieter side 4 played beautifully, with a little crackle evident on Number 9.
CERTAINLY NO JUMPS OR STICKS
A simple joy to listen to, which would only improve with a gentle professional clean....Really REALLY nice playback!
Looks worse than she plays?!?!..VERY, VERY HAPPY.
EACH RECORD IS AS FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN


The labels: VG. All four of the labels have the DARKER apple.
Light spindle marks to each label, with a small degree of hole wear evident.
VERY 1st PRESSING *WITHOUT* "An EMI Recording" text to EVERY SIDE!!!
(You don't get to see these early pressing so much!!)

"Mfd in the U.K." to each of the labels.

NUMBERED: 0345808 It is the first run TOP loading with a great shine to her.
Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold without tears, rips or writing!!
The spine remains strong, with a tiny bit of lifting to the laminate there.
Has the printing of  Stereo to the back top right.

There are just a couple of small areas of spidering to the laminate, with some light indentations.
(Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is rather nice).

They remain in great condition.

Poster: VG-. It is the ORIGINAL 1st printing of this poster. Lyrics printed to the back and kiss to the front and uncensored.

There are some splits on the folds and light foxing in a few very small areas.
