Description
Very rare vinyl test pressing for the Delaney & Bonnie LP planned for release on Apple Records in the USA, approved by George Harrison of the Beatles, and issued in this sleeve with the Elektra promo sticker on the front in a generic sleeve with the title "DELANEY & BONNIE & FRIENDS". Apparently Elektra halted production of the release, and only a few promos leaked out before the project was scrapped, and re-titled for release later that year as "Accept No Substitute"
This test pressing has both of the SAPCORE-7A/7B Apple Records and EKS-74039/Elektra catalog numbers in the run-off grooves. Apparently some of the leaked copies have the "E" scratched out, but not on this copy. There is no promo sheet with this copy, that vanished at some point.

VINYL: VG+ playback, but a visual VG with a few wispy lines on both sides. No gauges or skips.
SLEEVE: VG generic reddish-brown cardstock sleeve with a hand-typed Elektra records promo sticker on the front. Sleeve has some shelf wear and sticker tear mark on front, perhaps the missing promo sheet was taped to the front of this copy instead of just being slid inside (?)
