PATTO - HOLD YOUR FIRE

A brilliant copy of this 1971 UK 1st press prog gem with the gleaming little played vinyl and superb audio quality being true highlights

Year/Label : 1971 UK VERTIGO Swirl Label number : VO 6360 032 Matrix numbers : 6360032 1Y//1 420, 6360016 2Y*1  420 Stampers :  1 1 1  04 / 1 1 1
Near mint (NM) condition vinyl - I always hesitate when using the term "near mint" to desscribe the condition of vinyl but in this case tehre was little hesitation at all...simply put, each side of the vinyl is unmarked! Even close scrutiny under a bright light fails to identify and wispy hairlines or faint paper scuffs - just gleaming vinyl with a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen on both sides. Amazing!  The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - near perfect with the only blemishes being a few small and very, very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on the side 2 label -  you will need to look closely under a good light in order to identify them - and not heven a single faint spindle trail on the side 1 label.  A solid very good plus (VG+) condition Howards Printers gatefold outer sleeve complete with gimmix fold-out cover with three flaps (each can be folded out individually enabling 8 different variations). Firm edges with barely any scuffing though there is a little rubbing at each spine corner along with some minor fraying at the corner of each flap where the corners meet the spine - the flaps themselves remain fully functional. The spine is firm with all text completely intact despite just the occasional tiny spine "nick". There is some mild ring wear on the reverse side towards the top and bottom edges and some small and light handling/storage/general wear surface marks on the reverse side and the inside of the gatefold. In summary not quite excellent but still fully functional and highly presentable and a solid "very good plus" - please do take a good look at my photos where I have attempted to give a fair and accurate representation of the condition of this gatefold renown for it's fragility.  Wonderful near mint (NM) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, clicks or background crackle - hard to fault in any way! Great tone, wonderful clarity and a great listen throughout. Comes with original and correctly dated poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve - excellent (EX) condition with no splits, no edge fraying, no unwanted writing, minimal creasing, and just the merest hint of some minor age discolouration towards the top edges and reverse side bottom edge. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A truly impressive condition copy of this 1971 UK 1st press prog gem - increasingly rare with the wonderful little played vinyl and superb stereo audio quality being it's standout traits.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");

for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window!
