Description
For sale here is a super copy of Pink Floyds iconic "The Wall" album. Comes with all the attributes of an original first UK pressing, including..... No band credits on inside cover. Matrices A2, B3, A3, B3.
Suffice to say that this album appears very regularly on Ebay, but not very often in this superb condition. I will give a detailed description of each part, but please note, this is a visual assessment only.
The cover: Gatefold cover depicting a brick wall. Has the sticker attached. No shelf-wear at all. No imprint of the disc. No writing, marking or creasing worthy of mention. A very clean example of this iconic cover, so often found grubby and discoloured. Conservative grading is Excellent.
Inner sleeves: Really nice example of the heavy card inner sleeves with 9 inch notched openings.. No splits, tears or damage of any kind. Possibly lightly discoloured with age from being housed inside of the heavy cardboard outer cover. I grade the inner sleeves as a strong Ex.
The labels: The labels, all 4 are in excellent shape, showing very little, if any, signs of having been played. I grade the labels as Ex+.
The vinyl: Really the vinyl is the cream of this copy. As this is only a visual based assessment, I cannot categorically rule out any issues when played. However, due to the extremely clean vinyl, I find it hard to believe there would be any issues. I can see no marks of note of any kind. the vinyl has a depth of shine and a gorgeous black lustre. I have been lucky enough to own several first pressings of "The Wall" over many years of collecting, but rarely have I seen one as clean as this. I seriously can find no faults to mention whatsoever. As this is a visual appraisal only, I grade as a solid Ex+.
As a complete UK 1st pressing of this amazing album, I find it hard to imagine finding a cleaner copy. The A2/B3/A3/B3 matrices are the 11th earliest recorded according to Vernon Fitches "Pink Floyd Archives" website. Please please check out this fantastic site for information on all of The Floyds releases.
I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past from both Russia and Italy. I have listed the price for UK postage only. If an overseas ebayer wants this, please contact me before bidding to discuss postal options. I DO NOT make anything on the postage. I charge the exact cost (often less) that I pay. I DO NOT charge for packing materials and I try to use recycled packing anyway. I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight plastic cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve. All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyl's over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing. Please bid with peace of mind that what you see is what you get.
If you have any questions, require extra photos (you can only upload 12 on here), please just ask. Album will be posted same day I receive the funds if early enough, or at worst the next day.
