THE PINK FLOYD - 'THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN'

1st-class 1969 UK 2nd STEREO pressing on the 1-Box EMI/Columbia label: SCX 6157

Both labels have the 'Sold in UK..' text around their lower rims.

1st press matrix numbers: YAX 3419-1 &  YAX 3420-1

Stamper codes: 1/GR & 1/GR

Vinyl weight: 149g

Housed in a 1st press front laminated 'Ernest J. Day' printed tri-flipback stereo cover with original red/white inner-sleeve.

CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT +

This great sounding example has received a little careful play on quality equipment and all tracks play cleanly & clearly and are free from any crackle or groove wear. Visually both sides are glossy and unworn with some harmless wispy paper marks consistent with inner-sleeve removal. My playcheck detected 3 'pops' on 'Interstellar Overdrive' which were due to a tiny pin-head-sized bump in the vinyl itself, however apart from that there is precious little to fault and much to enjoy.  

Cover & Inner: EXCELLENT +

  Bright & strong with a glossy front panel bearing just a single light bend in the lower right corner but no 'thumbnails' wrinkles. There is slight shelfwear to the lower corners but no blemishes or wear to the exposed rear panel.
