Description
The Princeton Triangle Jazz Band plays two of its best sides -- "You Know Who" and "Everybody and You" -- on Columbia Personal 114-P, which was sold only in the Princeton University bookstore. Both are excellent hot performances, steeped in the wisdom of Bix and Tram, from musicians who knew them well. The arrangements and solos are first class, with a strong rhythm section.
Bill Priestley (cnt, g); Brainerd Kremer (cl, as); Philip Nash, Jack Howe (ts); Squirrel Ashcraft (accor); DeFord Swann (p); Doug MacNamara (bj); Palmer Lathrop (tu, b); Bob Bole (d). Recorded in New York on March 31, 1928.
This record is in V+ condition overall. There is some scuffing and a few light lams that do not sound, but little groove wear. The record plays very well, and better than it looks.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
