Description
Here is a SUPER RARE vintage Johnny Cash album from my collection offered up for auction: "JOHNNY CASH with his Hot Blue Guitar" Johnny's 1st ever album on SUN Records 1220, this was Johnny's first album with Sun Records, signaling the start of a long and productive career! This is the 1956 FIRST PRESSING featuring the heavy rigid disc and MICROGROOVE Sun labels. Released by Memphis based Sun Records in 1956 in glorious MONO. The vinyl rates respectable VG, is clean, has light marks on both sides, one heavier mark on each side, but plays from start to finish without jumps or skips, light surface noise, nothing overly distracting. Still a very enjoyable listen! The jacket rates VG/VG+, front is clean and frame worthy!, still has bright light blue color, nice portrait of Johnny. The back cover is bright white, all three seams have been neatly repaired (top also has old tape shadow), pen marks next to song titles on rear, rear cover has small stain near bottom corner and small tear in slick at top.
