Description
RCA LSC 2420, BRAHMS: Trio in E-Flat; BEETHOVEN: Sonata for Horn and Piano, Henryk Szeryng (violin), Victor Babin (piano), Joseph Eger (horn) (1960) 1s/1s (I) Indianapolis pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old 1s/1s shaded dog pressing. The sound is VERY realistic and lifelike with a very wide stage. The trio sounds as if it is sitting right in the room with you. This is my own copy, and the vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet with NO pops, clicks or skips, and only one or two VERY soft tics. There are some harmless paper scuffs on both sides that are barely visible and make no sound. The vinyl looks and plays near mint (NM). The labels are clean with NO spindle marks. The front of the jacket is clean, but has a very slight crease in the picture which I think is a manufacturing defect (see photo). There is the beginning of a very small seam split near the bottom right corner (see picture). I would therefore grade the jacket as EX+. The inner sleeve is NM. In summary, this is a nearly mint copy of this wonderful golden-age recording that plays perfectly. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied.
