- Sold With No Reserves - Greetings to my eBay friends and family! Over the next year, I'll be selling off a chunk of my record collection (and, trust me, none of it's junk!). Why don't you add me to your favorites list and keep checking back every so often?
Here I'm offering the original pressing of "ELECTRONIC MUSIC III". It was released by Turnabout Records (TV 34177), circa 1969. The pioneers of 1950s avant-garde electronic music are featured on this collection, a unique sort of sound that greatly influenced the current generation of electronica DJ's. Luciano Berio's "Thema" features a combination of inventive electronics and opera singer (Berio's wife) Cathy Berberian reading a passage from Joyce's Ulysses. Modernism joins the analog space age. Jacob Druckman's "Animus 1" is a fine example of proto-glitch, with playful and unsettling sounds animating his very accomplished experimentation. Turkish-American composer Ilhan Mimaroglu takes over the entire Side 2 with his singularly ingenious "magnetic tape" music (7 short sections and 1 longer piano/electronic piece). This LP, along with other similar volumes, are important pieces of music history.

CONDITION: Vinyl = A strong M- w/ perhaps some faint sleeve scuffs. The wax still shines nice and bright, label is excellent. Sleeve = Excellent w/ nice crisp edges and no ring wear. Excellent liner notes.
This will surely be a killer addition to any vintage electronic music record collection - noted by many as one of the most important records of this genre produced in the 60's! As with many of our eBay items, this lot is sold with no reserves! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
