1966 UK *STEREO* 1st PRESSING LP

**EXCELLENT, EARLY COPY**

This rare 1966 UK STEREO 1st pressing is on the UK 'ridged', unboxed blue & silver Decca label: SKL.4786

Housed in an early front laminated, non-flipback 'Robert Stace printed stereo cover.
Complete with original Decca 'FSS' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XZAL-7209-2W & XZAL-7209-2W
Stamper numbers: 1/BB & 1/BB

Visual: NEAR MINT

Carefully played just a few times on top quality equipment only, both surfaces appear in MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight.
Close & careful inspection directly beneath a powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just some faint inner-sleeve removal marks.
However, there are absolutely no scuffs, marks or any scratches anywhere on either side of this superb disc.
Quality Decca vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

This is an 100% perfect sounding 'as new' example.
All tracks play perfectly with absolutely no traces of crackle, groovewear or any other audible wear whatsoever.
Both run-ins and all bands play totally silently without any clicks or other interference.

(N.B: I never grade anything played as 'Mint')


Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS

This early example is in very fine shape with an undamaged front laminate which bears just a single light crease to the upper left corner area.
However, there are no 'thumbnail' creases near the opening edges or any other wear whatsoever.
All corners are in perfect, unbumped & unworn condition, and both front & rear opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn.
The rear panel is bright, clean and white where it should be, with no discolouration, handling marks, writing or any other wear.
The spine is in perfect, undamaged condition, & retains its factory 'pinched' ends.
Both seams are totally intact with no tears, stress or splits.

All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
