The Rolling Stones – Some Girls (1978 Original First Pressing)
Up for auction/sale is an original 1978 US pressing of Some Girls by The Rolling Stones (Catalog # COC 39108) featuring the legendary uncensored, die-cut celebrity sleeve.
This original release included faces of Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Judy Garland, and Raquel Welch cut into the outer jacket. Due to legal threats from the celebrities and estates, Atlantic Records quickly withdrew this sleeve and replaced it with a censored version—making this original first-run pressing a must-have collectible for Stones fans and vinyl collectors alike.
Included in Listing:
Outer Jacket: Original die-cut sleeve with cut-out windows.
Inner Sleeve: Original double-sided illustrated celebrity face inner sleeve.
Vinyl: Original 12" LP with yellow Rolling Stones tongue labels (COC 39108).
Condition Notes:
Sleeve/Jacket: Shows light edge wear, corner bumping, and mild ring wear consistent with age,it appears to have seam split open on two sides as shown in photos but die-cut windows remain intact without major tearing.
Vinyl: Good visual luster with light surface scuffs/hairlines that do not affect overall playability.
