Description
The legendary Roy Orbison's 4-track Hillbilly Rock e.p. on London from 1957 with the orange sleeve. The date is printed on the back of the sleeve to also show it's an original issue and not the later 1963 re-pressing. The original tri-centre is missing but the condition is very good otherwise. The record has a few light surface marks (hardly unusual in a record that's over fifty years old) but plays right through without sticking or jumping and with only minor background noise. The cover is very good too with no rips, tears or writing; there is only some very light feathering at the open edge (see pictures). It's in better condition than some copies that've sold on eBay, that's for sure! Just a few further points about this item...Date on the back is 57.7 (i.e. July 1957); the rear cover is slightly more 'yellow' than in the photo due to the flash but is otherwise in excellent condition with fully-laminated flip back; I checked the record today (Saturday 7th March 2009) under bright sunlight - there are two significant surface marks on side two which are clearly visible but they do not affect play in any way.
