Original United States Mono pressing of this hard to find album, released in 1964. The copy we are offering here is on the brown Argo label with “AUDIO ODYSSEY” on top and “MFG. BY CHESS PRODUCING CORP.” on the bottom.
The material was recorded in Cologne, Germany and features Sahib on alto sax, baritone sax, and flute; Ake Persson on trombone; Francy Boland on piano; Jimmy Woode on bass; Joe Harris on bongos; and Kenny Clarke on drums.
COVER: The cover is in overall EX condition. It has no seam splitting, no tears, and no writing. It does have a light crease on the front part and one small drill hole near the bottom left edge. The front has light surface wear and the back has very little wear. There is also a bit of wear on the right edge.
VINYL: This record is a beauty and looks like it has had little play over the years. It does have one small and light cosmetic surface mark on Side One that looks like it occurred in manufacturing. About the only other things you’ll find are a handful of faint scuffs and a small amount of sleeve marking. There is nothing even close to being able to be felt on the grooves. It’s pressed on nice thick heavy weight material. This LP grades a nice EX.
