Description

Up for auction is the extremely rare and collectable box set from Slim Dusty called "A Guitar and a Hat". This is a 3 cassette tape set as opposed to the 3lp set of the same title; both were Australian releases on the very collectable World Record Club label (# R 90544-5-6). The lp set sells in excess of AU$2000 (check out http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=slim+dusty+guitar+hat&x=13&y=11), but i think this cassette set is even rarer as i have never seen or heard of another set before.

The box is in (Ex-) condition, has a small amount edgewear on the bottom rear (3cm), a small hairline crease on the outer laminate on the back, and other very minor spots of edge and corner wear. No splits, stains, writing, sticker residue etc.

The cassettes, cases, and case inserts are all in (Ex+) condition...they look virtually new and unplayed.

The single side liner note sheet is (Ex-), no marks or yellowing but a few barely noticable, light creases.

As mentioned this is a very rare and collectable set, in fantastic condition. A must for any Slim Dusty or Australian country music collector. Great for display or playing, or would make a good replacement box for anyone who is lucky enough to already own the set (the "cassette pack" sticker on the spine should peel off easily if you need a replacement box for the lp set).
