Description

Scarce early one-sided 7-inch brown shellac record: SOUSA'S BAND - Loin Du Bal - IMPROVED BERLINER GRAM-O-PHONE RECORD, Made in Montreal, record no. 334; with beautiful ETCHED B-SIDE (shows nipper and says "His Master' Voice" and "Berliner Gram-o-phone".  This one was released circa 1899-1900. 
These were the very first disc records (and the only ones for about 10 years); the company competed with the more-popular wax-cylinder recordings of the era. The company became "...of Canada Ltd" in 1899, and remained as such until the early 1920's.

Condition is Good/Acceptable (UNTESTED; rare in any condition; tight crack at edge (shown), several scratches and marks that I can feel, moderate scuffing, heavy label rubbing; reverse has some small marks and scuffs but shows etching very nicely).
