Description
4 LP set. Unfortunately, these LPs are not in perfect condition, and there is no box or wallet included. However, I have included 4 original Decca 'FFSS' inner sleeves.
SXL 2081, 2088 and 2089 and the insert are in 'very good' condition. SXL 2090 is in 'very good+' condition.
There are a lot of fine marks on the vinyl and a lot of spindle marks, and some small scratches or marks causing scattered ticks. There is light surface noise, but this is intermittent. There is a 3cm scratch on side 3 (SXL 2089) which does tick quietly for several minutes.
On the positive side, I have dip-checked several loud passages, including near the spindle, and the sound quality is excellent with no audible groove damage (except possibly a touch in the extremely loud final chorus at the end of Act 4). Some passages do actually play quietly with very little surface noise, including for example one very beautiful aria towards the end of Act 3 (SXL 2090).
