30/12/11 IMPORTANT REVISION Anyone seeing this for first 3 days did not get access to the full sound sample talked about, now corrected, have another listen.

Summary condition

Cover VG+ no seam splits, non flipback cover with light rubbing and light ringwear slight discoloration to rear unlaminated white card.Import duty inspection sticker on rear top right corner (photo 9).

Lp GOOD. a few non skipping short scratches, and some static light crackle more in Hindemith quiet passages, listen to worst ones in sound sample, (first one in sample at 3 minutes 53 seconds side A also photo 7 in highlighting reflective light)

Photo 6 is of side 2 Hindemith scuffs and light scratches worst bit heard at 8 minutes 25 to end of sample at 13 minutes.

That is why only rated "Good" (light scuffs and some non skipping scratches)

BOTH RECORDINGS  are Oistrakh's first western recordings of these pieces, and the Hindemith is conducted by the Composer. 

which with its first label wide band groove sells for serious money. Interestingly, I note this ED2 (Made in England 10 o'clock label) has exactly the same 1e/1e stampers as the 1ED label,

Record regarded as good filler until a better one comes along.

I will include a clean sounding Australian pressing from OZ World Record Club ONLY FOR THE EXTRA COST OF POSTAGE ADDED  to the winner. (depending on world domicile, between GBP3 upto GBP5 extra to add to this package) it has different label and cover but it sounds spotless, from same recording sessions)

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE First 3 minutes 50 seconds is of opening side 1, a 5 second break TO DEMONSTRATE THE SCRATCH STARTING 2ND MOVEMENT SAME SIDE . SIDE A SAMPLE FINISHES AT 6 MINUTES.

hINDEMITH side TWO STARTS at 6 minutes 20 seconds, THE WORST VISIBLE SCUFFS ARE AT 8 MINUTES 25 SECONDS, THAT SECTION BECOMES LESS DAMAGES AND PLAYS UNTIL SAMPLE COMPLETION WHICH IS THE REMAINDER OF THE 13 MINUTE 4 second SAMPLE IN TOTAL.

BE aware the sound sample talked about IS A LOW SAMPLE RATE AND accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea.
