Description:
This is a complete set of four vinyl LP records featuring a selection of Sir Winston Churchill's most iconic wartime speeches, delivered during his tenure as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in World War II. Each record includes pristine audio recordings that capture Churchill’s inspiring words, which served as a rallying cry during one of the most challenging periods in modern history.

  • Volume 1: In a Solemn Hour, This Was Their Finest Hour, The War of the Unknown Warriors (Broadcasts from May–July 1940).
  • Volume 2: Every Man to His Post, End of the War in Europe, Five Years as Prime Minister (Broadcasts from 1940–1945).
  • Volume 3: Frenchmen—Re-Arm Your Spirits, To the Peoples of Italy, Westward Look, the Land is Bright (Broadcasts from 1940–1941).
  • Volume 4: Give Us the Tools, and We Will Finish the Job, The German Invasion of Russia (Broadcasts from February–June 1941).

The records are presented in their original sleeves, each adorned with elegant typographical designs and the "His Master’s Voice" logo.

Condition:

  • Sleeves: Some signs of ageing and mild foxing, particularly along the edges and corners, as shown in the images. The gold lettering on the front covers remains clear and sharp. The rear of the sleeves lists the speeches and broadcast dates, which are legible and unblemished.
  • Vinyl Records: The records appear to be in excellent condition with no visible scratches or warping. The labels are clean and intact, and the iconic blue-and-white design is striking.
  • Inner Sleeves: Original EMI inner sleeves are included, featuring advertisements for other classical recordings of the era. These are well-preserved, with minor discoloration due to age.

Provenance and Interest:
