Description

Private pressing (monaural), created by Blitz Weinhard to celebrate the centennial of Oregon’s statehood in 1959. Comic Stan Freberg along with legendary ad executive Howard Gossage wrote this short three-act musical. There are spoken introductions by Freberg and Biill Wessinger, President of Blitz-Weinhard, then the 21-minute musical;  the second side is individually banded performances of the songs from the musical. Additional material: a mimeographed letter to Blitz employees from the President of Blitz-Weinhard, a copy of the newspaper ad announcing the record, and four mimeographed pages of lyrics for six songs in the production. 

Record will be shipped by media mail or priority mail for US shipments as buyer prefers, by first class international (air) for foreign shipments. (The U.S. post office has discontinued the old “economy letter” surface rate). Multiple purchases gladly combined for reduced shipping cost – request total at conclusion of auctions.
