Description

Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones Vinyl LP Soundtrack.

Condition is "Used".

Star Wars Episode II was released in 2002, and the soundtrack quickly became one of my favourite John Williams scores. I was delighted when the soundtrack was finally released on the LP format as part of the Star Wars Ultimate Vinyl Collection.

Attack of the Clones may not be the most popular film in the series, but I always loved it and saw it multiple times at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. Though the prequel movies polarised audiences, almost everyone agrees that Williams’ soundtracks for these movies were of the highest quality, and Episode II was no exception.

This LP was the first ever vinyl release of the Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones soundtrack. It was included in the Star Wars The Ultimate Vinyl Collection, and since this and Episode III are the only real rarities in that set, I am selling them individually. Bear in mind, the box set from which these titles have been taken is more expensive than if you buy these titles individually, so do not pass up this opportunity. With Christmas coming up soon, delight the Star Wars and LP fan by presenting this as a cherished gift. Since this soundtrack is from an old movie, and not the most popular film in the series, it is probably unlikely that this album will be pressed again in a hurry and prices will probably only rise, so make no mistake, this Lp will not come up for sale very often, and if it does, the price is likelier to be even higher.

I purchased the Star Wars Ultimate Vinyl collection when it came out, but I have decided to sell the two prequel soundtracks as they are now very rare on the LP format and are out of print. I know these are now sought after.

The photos are of the the actual item for sale, and I may add a few more photos of the LP’s, but I couldn’t get decent photos of them due to reflections/shadows. Rest assured, the force is strong with this one!

Here are some videos showing the actual album on sale and the music playing. Check these videos out:

This record was only played maybe two or three times and has been storage in the original collection box along with the other albums in the set. It does have a few hairline marks here and there, and maybe a few clicks and pops, but it does not skip and it does sound quite marvellous to my ears when I compared it to the CD, there does seem to be more presence and the track Across the Stars really comes alive on this release. The gloriously symphonic Across the Stars is a highlight of Williams’ career and deserves pride of place on any music fans collection. All Star Wars fans who own the music on vinyl owe it to themselves to add this outstanding soundtrack to their incomplete collections, as this selection of music is too good to pass by. Being so rare, it is also an instant collectors item and the value of this LP is only likely to rise, being the first ever edition to have been released on the LP format.

I am moving out to a new residence so I am selling some cool stuff from my personal music collection. I must sell some of my LPs, including Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith, so please check my listings if interested. Had I not needed the money for the move to my new home, this would never have been on sale as it is one of my favourite soundtrack albums of all time.

As with all used records there may be some static, clicks or pops, but this record is from my personal collection and I have played it all the way through over the last few days and it plays without any skipping, and sounds pretty good overall.

As for the price, this record is quite rare and it belongs to an immensely popular film series. As far as I am aware, this edition was the first vinyl release of Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones soundtrack. No one is obliged to by this at the price I am selling it for, but with 100% user feedback, you could buy in confidence. I am a huge Star Wars and John Williams fan and in an ideal world I would have held on to this one, but I have the CD and I can hear that when I want, and the CD also had a hidden bonus track that played at the end, and I love that track!!!

For this item, there will be no refunds or exchanges. This record is in very good overall condition and though there may be a few clicks or pops here and there, that is typical of used records, and common with LP’s. It plays all the way through without skipping, and sounds very good to my ears. It is not worn out and it has been handled with love and care. I think it deserves to go to a music fan who can take care of it. May the force be with you.
