Description
Released by Tamla (T-54038) in 1961. This is The Supremes' debut single. Rare and hard to find, especially in this white label promo form that came from the collection of a deceased former DJ in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I have had this in my collection for many years and was one of my favorite finds, as The Supremes are one of my favorites. However, I have decided to pass it on to another appreciative fan.

Labels are VG++ with good color to them and with only the marking of 3/1 on the A side. The record was commercially released March 9'th, 1961, so the marking makes perfect sense. The B side label has no markings.
Vinyl is VG+. The record looks great with a fine gloss to the record still and very few superficial surface scratches. There are some pressing bumps and such. Light background noise can be heard during the pauses in the song and during softer passages. There were a few pops. Overall, the record plays very well and sounds fine. Unfortunately Berry Gordy was known for using the cheapest vinyl available to him to press his fine records on to and I assume that much of the surface noise present is not a result of use/abuse but just due to the low quality of vinyl used.

If you are ultra super conservative, to save all parties trouble, we kindly ask you please move along because if you really try you can always find something wrong with a record. We sell solid records and try not to over grade but opinions do differ and we've found our opinion mainly only differs with those that are absolute fanatics who probably should not be buying used vinyl records online in the first place due to the fact that the record is site unseen.
