DESCRIPTION

T. Rex - “Electric Warrior” Reprise Records RS 6466 (Stereo) from 1971. Hard to find Original First Pressing Glitter / Glam / Power Pop / Rock album from T. Rex featuring Marc Bolan and Micky Finn along with Steve Currie, Bill Legend, Ian McDonald, Burt Collins plus Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman aka Flo And Eddie (The Turtles, Frank Zappa). Produced by Tony Visconti. Contains their two most famous songs “Jeepster” and “Get It On”. In the Original Gatefold Cover with the Lyrics on the back and NO Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode. Includes the Original Printed Warner / Reprise Inner Sleeve.

I believe that this is a First Santa Maria pressing as indicated by Matrix / Vinyl Runout markings that read:

CONDITION

The Gatefold Sleeve is in okay shape. There is shelf wear, corner softening/wear and creases in both the right hand corners. There is an about 2” part split on the back bottom seam at the opening edge. Still solid with no writing, stains, cutouts, tears, etc. and I would rate it VG. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking fairly lightly played. There are scuffs, marks and hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. Visually VG but a nice player, plays at least VG+ or better all through with just a touch of groove noise between songs in a couple places and one or two spots of barely audible soft tics - nothing that distracts and might be improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. There is a name written on side 1 and a sticker on side two (probably removable) but the labels are otherwise at least VG+.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:

Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
