The Beatles - 'Abbey Road'. PCS 7088
The Beatles 1969 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Abbey Road' album. Released on the 26th September 1969 and offered here FULLY COMPLETE.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the dark UK Apple label with the very earliest matrix numbers produced ending in 2 and 1. Both the vinyl label and sleeve DO NOT feature the track ‘Her Majesty’ which does appear on later editions. It of course does play the track. The vinyl is housed within the original ‘Patents Applied For’ inner sleeve and fully laminated outer sleeve.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. YEX 749-2 5 GHR
Side 2. YEX 750-1 1 R
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. I will include an additional sleeve to protect the original.
