I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.

For Christmas 1967 The Beatles produced a TV film complete with an original (and unprecedented!) double EP soundtrack, housed in a luxury gatefold sleeve with booklet.

Recorded between late August and completed in early October the psychedelic themes of the songs took off where Sgt. Peppers had left off, but also unbeknownst to them marked a period of feeling cast adrift, as during the recording sessions of this project, their manager and friend Brian Epstein sadly took his own life.

Though the EP format had pretty much come to an end in the UK at this point, and this deluxe double EP package cost about 60% of the cost of a whole album, The Beatles had no trouble shifting over 500,000 by Christmas 1967, and by mid January it even topped the UK Melody Maker  singles chart, displacing their own Hello Goodbye in the process! Completely unprecedented, and yet it was The Beatles, so anything was possible!

That said, for all the units sold, there were a number of variations which were rarer than others, for example,this EP was available in both MONO and STEREO formats (the only original Beatles EP to be), and original STEREO releases are much less common than MONO. There were other text/font variations including a taller font Stereo version that prves to be quite elusive to the collector now. But of all the variations, right at the tailend of the initial release there was a batch pressed in STEREO where the 1st disk of this set,not only contained the "Sold In UK subject to..." text,but also has a SOLID CENTRE! A disk two has never been found with the same characteristics,but it's possible to date this as at the tailend of the initial release as the couple of copies I have seen have either been paired with a push-out or solid centre, non "Sold In U.K." copy, but non polo ring either. dating it still in the late 60s rather than early 70s, also sometimes they were included in MONO printed sleeves with an EMI red and white "STEREO" sticker covering the MONO catalogue number, seemingly using up old MONO sleeves.

If you were to check on Popsike for other copies like this you would see only a handful ever! Like with certain other SOLID CENTRE Beatles records this is an extremely rare variation,and is highly sought after as such by collectors!

Here then, I offer up THE BEATLES MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR double EP in glorious STEREO with a SOLID CENTRE Disk 1, plus a "STEREO" stickered mono sleeve!

RECORD CONDITIONS: VG+ The song playing surfaces of the Discs are very nice, with just some light surface marks visible when angled into strong direct light, though nothing feelable, and the audio is beautifully strong, EPs with more grooves packed onto them can be quite suseptable to audible detriment from marks and scratches, and yet this certainly is a great strong audible copy!

Label Conditions: VG+ Really nice clean and crisp labels,with absolutely no graffitti/stains/tears etc. They keep their crisp black and silver colourations very nicely,with just a few very light signs of spindle trails around each of the central spindle holes. There are feint signs of the previous owner engraving their name neatly into the deadwax ofone side of each disc, though it doesn't make it's self particularly apparent until you go looking for it! All in all, very nice example of the lables, particularly the all important SOLID CENTRE Disk 1! No central embossed tax code on either disc, but neither is there any sign of polorings etc,soa late 60's copy rather than early 70's! 

SLEEVE CONDITION VG Completely free of graffitti, tears, stains etc. The internal booklet and central lyric sheet are in wonderful condition, very lightly handled, and no age related stais etc. Really lovely. Sadly the outer sleeve has had a vertical bend about 2" from the spine, and someof the laminate has started to bubble/fold a little. Light handling wear on the spine,and edges/corners, but generally a decent copy! The STEREO sticker has been partiallyremoved, though some of the red text is still visible, I considered upgrading this sleeve, but with the presence of that very rare STEREO sticker, even if it is partially removed,it's definitely worth sticking with this original one in my opinion!
