Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my rare Beatles, Beatles related and Rolling Stones records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare UK DECCA contract pressing of The Beatles – Please Please Me album on the YELLOW / BLACK Parlophone label, cat. no. PMC 1202.
The record is in VG condition; there are quite some non-sounding hairlines, a couple non-sounding marks and a couple small sounding marks. The labels are in VG condition as well, there are many spindle marks, there is some wear around the spindle hole and some track and track numbers are outlined with a red ball point pen.
The cover, an E.J. Day printed one, is in VG condition; there are two creases on the front, and the lower flipback has some very slight damage. Further the back has a little age browning. The record comes with an original EMITEX inner sleeve, which looks in VG++ condition; there are only some creases.
This is an extremely rare DECCA contract pressing of the Please Please Me album by the Beatles, which was only pressed in very small amounts. Most Decca contract pressings are for the Beatles’ second LP, With the Beatles. And although not in Mint condition, this is the rarest documented Please Please Me contract pressing ever made. This is a unique opportunity to complete your life-time Beatles record collection! A must have for all Beatles label collectors! Happy Bidding!
