ITEM:
The Beatles - Please Please Me - STEREO.
7th Pressing - 1969 UK LP in Picture Sleeve.
Black and Yellow Parlophone label.
With the original Parlophone promotional insert.
Original red and white ' EMI ' advertising inner sleeve.
7th pressing as defined by the following:
Both labels omit ' SOLD IN UK ' but retain the ' GRAMOPHONE CO '.
LABEL / VINYL.
Parlophone - PCS 3042.
YEX 94 1 / YEX 95 1.
Stamper Codes 2 / MG and 1 / AT.
Disc Weight - 146g.
VINYL AND LABEL CONDITION VISUAL:
EXCELLENT:
Both labels are very clean with a few tiny spindle marks around unworn centre holes.
The vinyl is clean, bright with shiny gloss surfaces.
Side 1 bears 3 light surface marks but no further marks or wear.
Side 2 has no marks or wear.
Close inspection under bright light reveals only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines.
Both sides of this fine example lie 100 percent flat on the turntable with no traces of dishing or warping.
PLAY CONDITION OF VINYL:
NEAR MINT.
Pristine, clean and unworn sound throughout.
Barely played with no trace of groove distortion on any track of channel.
Both run ins and all bands play without interference and the entire album is free from any clicks or pops.
No audible distraction what so ever.
SLEEVE CONDITION:
Outer sleeve is near mint condition with no damage.
2 small thumbnails marks but no heavy creasing or wear.
The sleeve is a high gloss laminated sleeve - flipback style .
' Angus Mcbean ' printed on the front cover - small ' STEREO ' printed at the top right of sleeve.
Printed in England by Garrod and Lofthouse.
Very clean sleeve.
Flipbacks are clean with no damage.
The spine is intact with all wording and coding visible - pinched at both ends.
The rear is very clean as well.
No browning or staining.
Original ' EMI ' inner sleeve is in excllent condition with some wear at the top and a slight tear.
The original green and white ' EMI PARLOPHONE ' promotional leaflet is in mint condition with no faults.
