THE BEATLES

RUBBER SOUL

RARE 1R/ 1R STAMPERS

CAT. NO PMC 1267

Format: Mono

Master Matrices XEX 579-5/ XEX 580-5

This is one of the earliest copies of the final corrected Rubber Soul mix available.
Due to 1R / 1R Mother and Stamper combination on both sides of the vinyl, this places this final corrected mix as one of the earliest off the pressing machines.
The labels are identical to the initial press run 'Loud Cut' labels ie. Sans Serif block capital text with asterisks * spaced away from the song titles.  These final mixes are usually found with Labels with Times New Roman font having the asterisks placed next to the song titles, as did some Loud Cut’s and most of the subsequent -4/ -4 presses, before finally settling on the -5/ -5 matrices.

Sleeve: Original sleeve in Very Good Plus condition retaining its structure. Unblemished besides a few crease lines and very light laminate lifts on the opening edge. No record ring-wear. No marks or handwriting. Very clean and white rear panel.  No splits or rips. No writing or imprints.

Inner Sleeve: Original EMI tracing paper lined inner sleeve. Correctly omits the Patents Applied for text, as by the time Rubber Soul was released these inner sleeves had received the patent, and just had the Made In England text. No splits or rips inside or out. Retains full structure.

The Vinyl: In Excellent condition. The surfaces are smooth and look completely groove wear free, an unblemished pressing shine. The surfaces look quite remarkable with bare minimal sign of being played, as viewed with the vinyl tilted angled under a direct light source. Just some wispy lines in places from sleeve removal. Completely smooth clean surfaces, with the pattern of the interwoven grooves holding the propensity for the amazing Beatle  musical creation. No visible scratches, scuffs, marks, warps or dinks. The item has received careful use, the vinyl will be removed from the original inner and held in a spare inner sleeve.

Lays completely flat on the turntable, heavyweight late Sixties vinyl.

The Labels: Very Good Plus condition. No immediately visible wear to the spindle perimeter, unless looked at close up in immense detail, just some light spindle location lines/ marks.

Mothers/ Stampers combinations:

Side 1 - 1 R

Side 2 - 1 R

The Audio: Reflected by the condition of the vinyl, an audiophile copy. Plays smoothly from start to finish on each side with immense detail and perfect mono channeling. This is a surface-noise free player with no interruption or defects of any kind over any audio. Even in the quieter parts there is  hardly anything noticeable, and the standard probably can't be beaten by anything else. An superb sounding copy that is guaranteed not to disappoint.
