Description
This is an excellent US pressing of the Beatles SGT Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band MAS2653 in MONO! It comes complete with the original insert. The sound will amaze. The bass is punchier the highs are clearer. It is sonically superior to the stereo version. The record's engineer - Geoff Emerick has stated that the greatest effort has spent on the MONO mix of SGT. Pepper. They had fun with the stereo mix. The same applies to the Revolver album. This is the quintessential 1960's record - an ICON!
What makes this record unique is that it is an original pressing with a correct "With a Little Help From my Friends" Most first presses list the song as "A Little Help From My Friends" The record was pressed in the Sranton plant.
This record has all the other aspects of an original first pressing, which are:
1. It is a Black Rainbow label without the Subsidiary inscription along the perimeter of the label. This can be seen in the 4th photo. Later mono issues put the inscription in the colorband.
2. The rear of the cover makes no notice of NEMS Enterprises above the Manufactured by Capitol Records Inc. It is without the line "All Rights for United States, Canada, Mexico and Philippines Controlled by MACLEN Music LTD
The vinyl is beautiful. It still retains it's original luster. I can only see 3 hairline scratches on it. Those 3 scratches are the only reason I'm not calling the vinyl near mint.
The jacket is awesome as well. There is very little ring wear on the front and just a hint of ring wear on the back. There is very little edge wear and the spine is fully intact and legible. This truly is a beautiful record. Please review my feedback as a seller and bid with confidence.
