THIS ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE 1968 MONO WHITE ALBUM HAS A 0042949 NUMBERED SLEEVE AND IS COMPLETE WITH ALL ORIGINAL 1968 INSERTS.

  Considered to be one of most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original 1968 UK Apple Records mono, two vinyl LP Set for The Beatles 1968 White Album Release, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

  This is a respectable example, and has a top opening, Gate-fold Sleeve with No.0042949, and with, two original UK first issue mono LP's, Four original Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatles, plus a photograph spacer, an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster  printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, two original 1968 Black inner record bags. The set is housed within its original First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening numbered, No.0042949, Gate-fold Sleeve.

  LP Description/Condition:

  The two First Issue mono Vinyl LP's are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all with the ‘Sold in UK label text, with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels.

  All four record labels in Excellent condition,  clean and undamaged record labels with vivid Black Print, and with several play signs around the centre spindle holes on each label.

  LP 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1, & Side 2, XEX 710-1.

  LP 1, Side 1 stampers, 1 R A, & Side 2, 1 R P.

  LP 2, Side 3 matrix XEX 711-1, & Side 4, XEX 712-1.

  LP 2, Side 3 stampers, 2 R L, & Side 4, 4 T O.

  There is a K T Tax Code on the centre of side 3 record label.

  All four sides of the vinyl LP's grade as Very Good condition, both LP’s show several hairlines and surface scratches and a couple of small feel-able scratches that produce light clicks.

  Having  played both LP's, very surprisingly all four sides play extremely well considering their condition, there is mild background static on some tracks, but without any skips and just a couple of light clicks, otherwise a really nice mono sound quality.

  Each LP come in their original Matt  Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in Very Good condition, the bags do have some light inevitable creasing, and a couple of small tears.

  And are housed in their Very Good Plus to Excellent Garrod and Lofthouse Gate-fold Sleeve. This first issue sleeve is Top Opening and numbered 0042949, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal Black and White Images of each of Beatle, together with the song track listing.

  The front panel of this sleeve is clean and bright with just a couple of manufacturing laminate pinches, light LP indentation and age toning near to the spine edge, the stamped number and Embossed The BEATLES are perfect .

  The inner gate-fold centre of the sleeve is in clean Excellent condition.

  The reverse panel of the sleeve shows light age toning and a laminate crease.

  There are Four original 1968 Full Rich and Deep Glossy Colour Photographs – one of each Beatles, Plus photograph spacer - All four Photographs are all in beautiful Near Mint condition, NO pin holes, NO tears or creases, just perfect and stored inside the sleeve to preserve them.

  And includes its original 1968, Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric/Picture Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in undamaged Excellent condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears and just some foxing or age spots.
