CLEAN CONDITION, ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL, ALL INSERTS ARE THE ORIGINAL INSERTS AS SUPPLIED WITH THE ALBUM IN 1968.
Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, No.0339963 GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The two First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, Both of the discs are **With** An E.M.I. Recording Reference on allm 4 labels, and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels. All four record labels are also printed with the wording STEREO.
All four record labels in superb Near Mint condition, clean and undamaged record labels, vivid Black Print, showing only a few light centre spider trails to each label.
All 4 sides of the vinyl discs are in beautiful Near Mint condition, the vinyl discs still retain their gloss shine, there are NO scratches or scuffs to any of the surfaces, the discs have obviously been well cared for by the previous owner, with nothing more than a couple of light surface hairlines.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 4 LO & Side 2 stampers are: 7 GPM.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 5 PL & Side 4 stampers: 6 GTD.
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in Excellent Minus condition, the bags do have some inevitable creasing, but no seam splits, otherwise two very nice original inner bags.
….And are housed in it’s ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0339963, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing, the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in very nice Excellent condition. This is a FIRM, CLEAN, WHITE GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only very mild record indentation, the back panel is UNDAMAGED, with only very mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in undamaged Excellent Plus condition. The spine edge is firm, with a tiny area of flaking to the laminate, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only a very mild bumps to all four corners.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle - All four photos are all in Near Mint condition, with NO tearing or pinholes.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent Plus condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears.
Play Quality:
Having played both LPs, all FOUR sides play EXTREMELY WELL throughout all the tracks, there are NO skips, pops or clicks, and very quiet between and during the tracks, a very fresh stereo sound quality.
This is a very nice complete example of this original 1968 Beatles STEREO White Album, 100% complete with all it’s original inserts that came with it back in1968, guaranteed.
