Description
Visually graded only . There will be absolutely no returns , or refunds .
Please carefully look at pictures and read description, message me if you have any specific question about the item .
Cover is VG no splitting , corner wear as pictured ; small bit of staining on the front . Bottom left corner of the front slick has a small tear as pictured
Original Capitol inner sleeve is included but is split on one side
Disc is VG shiny gloss ; lots of light scratches , although nothing deep, heavy deep groove vinyl .
I suspect this may be a 2nd state Butcher cover for the following indications .
- the front cover "slick " is pasted over a darker background and the top of the slick cuts off the " File Under The Beatles" inscription at the top as Butchers almost always do .
- the back RIAA number is #4 as pictured, which after I did some research indicates it was made in the Jacksonville Capitol pressing plant , and apparently a large amount of Butcher covers were made there , but most were recalled and destroyed . A distinct and well known difference with this Butcher RIAA #4 pressing it that in this factory they used a stronger and thicker glue application which makes Ringo's black V neck shirt very hard to see the bleed through .
Because most of the butcher covers made in this factory were destroyed , this pressing is exceptionally rare and sought after .
I am only describing this record for my lack of collectible Beatles knowledge , as a "possible unpeeled 2nd state Butcher " because I only suspect that it is because of the following indications . Sold as is .
