THE BEATLES
"Yesterday And Today" 1966 LP on Capitol Records
(ST 2553)
Cover over-steamed and the butcher cover has come off.
Please examine the photos carefully.
The LP itself:
Plays great.
There are a few random very tiny marks and two surface scratches -
None of this affects play.
Very light surface noise.
VG to VG+
Now the cover:
It has been steamed and the butcher cover came off.
This separate cover is what I'm about to describe:
*There is random chipping around the edges...
*A chunk (about 1/2"x1/2") taken out of upper left top edge.
*1/2" chip into right edge.
*Two instances of a small sized ring shaped discoloration:
One to the immediate left of Ringo's head and near McCartney's
wristwatch.
Both these stains are dark when held up to the light and more visible
on the backside than the front.
Now for the record JACKET:
*Chipping along top edge.
* The beginnings of a 3/4" split on upper right corner.
* The back cover shows effects of the steaming.
It is still attached to the sleeve at the edges but loose and unglued.
This makes wavy in spots.
*1/2" tear in paper of back cover (not the cardboard sleeve)
*Discoloration along top and right edges of back cover.
*Lower right corner (near the #2) shows a shallow cut line and a tiny bit
of writing.
The inner sleeve:
Your average Capitol '66 "Sounds Great" sleeve.
Some wrinkling and creasing.
No wear out of the ordinary.
OK...Just so we're clear...
This LP cover is not attached to the jacket.
A close examination of the photos should assist in illustrating
the somewhat unique situation regarding the condition.
