Description

England's rock/pop/goth/alternative superstars The Cure released a greatest hits remix album in 1990. That record celebrated its THIRTY year anniversary last year. The album was called 'Mixed Up', as it was mostly remixes of hits that the band had already released. (A new song titled "Never Enough" was added to the album.) In 2018, a sequel of sorts called 'Torn Down: Mixed Up Extras' came out. As that release saw the light of day, The Cure went back and remastered 'Mixed Up', so in essence, BOTH of these records came out in 2018! And to make an awesome Cure release even MORE awesome, BOTH albums came out in a special, limited edition TWO album picture disc package! A total of FOUR picture disc 12" LPs!!


Up for grabs today is BOTH the 2018 remastered double picture disc set of 'Mixed Up', as well as the follow-up double picture disc package of 'Torn Down', also on picture disc! 'Torn Down' is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! 'Mixed Up' still looks new, and may never have been played! The records were purchased by me as used, but they look great. Still all shiny and clean! The gatefold jacket also looks great, with no wear and tear, no writing, no cut out holes, and no flaws that I can see! And since these are modern day picture discs, you can give them a spin, as new releases usually sound great!


And as The Cure is also a visual band, you HAVE TO see the videos, right? I'll kick in a copy of the greatest video hits, starting with "Boys Don't Cry", and ending with "Just Say Yes"! There's even SIX acoustic versions of songs that are added to the DVD! A sweet Cure video compilation, with a whopping TWENTY TWO total tracks, to go along with the best remixes of 'Mixed Up' AND 'Torn Down'! And at a great price!
