Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Rolling Stones, Beatles (and related) and 60’s beat records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, an extremely rare US 1st MONO pressing of The Doors – Strange Days on the TAN Elektra label, cat. no. EKL 4014.

The record is in VG to VG+ condition; there are some non-sounding hairlines, a couple visible but non-sounding marks and three small sounding marks in the opening track of side 1. The labels are in VG+ condition; there are some spindle marks and some light wear around the spindle hole on both sides.

The cover is in VG condition; there are some creases and there is some ring wear on both front and back. Further the previous owner has written his initials (W.R.) on the front (in the white space just above the “STRANGE DAYS” sign behind the weightlifter).

The record still has its original lyrics inner sleeve, which is VG(+) condition. There is a small crease in top right corner and a very tiny tear on the opening edge.

Although not in mint condition, this is an extremely rare US first MONO pressing of The Doors’ Strange Days, complete with original inner sleeve. Complete U.S. pressed mono copies are very hard to find these days, just how often does a MONO copy of this album surfaces?
