Description
A rare copy of The "Five Satins" Sing. ELP-100. HiFi. The cover shows its age: a hard bend in upper left corner, top edge is split except for about a 3"piece that holds the seam together; one of the top splits continues down spine for 2"-3", (see photos) the rest of the spine is clear and easy to read and the bottom seam is intact. The back of the cover is white paper that shows age and rub wear and shows the backside of the hard corner bend mentioned earlier, with about a 1" tear. (see photo) The front cover shows rub wear and has 3 initials in ink. Overall, there is plenty of use wear as would be expected in a 60+ year-old album, but it doesn't appear to have food/drink stains. Vinyl has surface marks, light scratches, and some tiny cloudy spots here and there. There is some vinyl noise and some light crackles, but there are no gouges and record doesn't skid, repeat, or skip. The only thing to note is that in the opening of "Weeping Willow" the first 4 or 5 words seem slightly garbled (but understandable) and then it plays fine. Please see photos for a clear idea of condition and for song lists. I grade conservatively and give full disclosure and it makes an album this old sound like a mess, but this is a great vinyl. Both sides of this (heavy-weight) record play beautifully.
