PLEASE NOTE: 78 RPM RECORDS ARE VERY FRAGILE! THEY MUST BE PACKED AND SHIPPED WITH GREATER CARE THAN LP’s OR 45’s. I TAKE GREAT CARE IN PACKING AND SHIPPING 78’s, USING PLENTY OF CUSHIONING MATERIALS AND STRONG CARTONS TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT AND ASSURE YOUR SATISFACTION. I HAVE NEVER LOST ONE TO DAMAGE IN TRANSIT.
Here is the R&B Vocal Group, The Ravens, on National 9062, from 1948 with “White Christmas” and “Silent Night”, both recorded in the fall of 1948 and released in October of that year. Reportedly, “Silent Night” rose to #8 on the R&B charts and “White Christmas” to #9. This record is VG+ to NM with only a few light scuffs.
On play testing, this record played loud and strong and I noticed no effect from the light surface type scuffs except for a few tics in the midst of “Silent Night”. There was light BG noise, comparable to the infamous “hiss” found on Sun records, throughout the recordings.
